The use of NITROX as a breathing gas mixture is becoming increasingly popular among recreational divers. However, in order to determine the exact value of the oxygen concentration before the dive and to enter it into the dive computer for additional safety, the G 1690 is an important and reliable companion. The higher the oxygen concentration, the higher the oxygen partial pressure. This in turn is the decisive factor for the maximum diving depth in order to avoid oxygen poisoning.
With the G 1690, the actual oxygen concentration of the diving gas cylinder can be determined safely and conveniently, so that repetitive dives with shorter surface intervals are also possible. In the T version for recreational divers, the G 1690 offers an additional comfort function for determining the maximum dive depth (MOD calculation).
The G 1690 deliberately focuses on the most important functions of measurement technology for reliable measurement of oxygen concentration in gases. Essential for the reliability and longevity are the sensors used, GOEL 370 and GOEL 381, which are especially suitable for wet environments.
The portable instrument also impresses with its ergonomics, water protection and the 3-line, backlit display. Thus, the G 1690 is an inexpensive and precise submersible gas meter, but is also an inexpensive but at the same time high-quality entry level instrument for many other oxygen measurements - for example, for protective gas measurements.

The G 1690-MAX is especially suitable for tec divers due to its maximum measuring range up to 100 % vol. O2 as well as its robustness, durability and precision. Even when using other breathing gas mixtures, such as TRIOX, TRIMIX or HELIOX, the oxygen percentage can be determined quickly.
